Project: Runway

(I feel like this title may already be taken…)

Where have we pleathers been? We’ll tell you: not sleeping. Lesson #1 to anyone who aspires to be in fashion while also holding down gainful employment: sleep is the first thing that falls by the wayside. But we have been not sleeping for very good reason.

Em and I are styling our first runway show on Monday! It’s the amazingly titled Paisean Faisean, which means Passion Fashion in Gaelic, duh (I think). The always amazing DC-based Solas Nua is diving into the fashion end of the art pool and asked us to jump with them. So we have the honor of styling some of the best emerging and established Irish designers out there.

Eilis Boyle’s beautiful, haunting design

Once the show goes off without a hitch, we’ll have a full recap, including model madness, a trip to Aveda and more. And we’re going to try to do some filming behind the scenes, which would be a first for us. Good thing Emma knows how to edit video!

Anyhoo, buy your tickets now and we’ll see you on Monday night.

xo

ps – did we mention that Julie Feeney would be performing? We didn’t? Oh yeah, she will be. You will, in the words of Rachel Zoe, die.

Come and see my crochet jewellery designs at Paisean Faisean. Solas Nua has given me the first first opportunity to show in the US. Very excited and would love to get feedback from anyone going to it. If you can’t make it to the evening check out my designs at http://www.byyvonne.ie

Wow guys, the show was brilliant! You both did a fabulous job–obviously, the pieces were beautiful in themselves, but you really did an amazing job accenting them perfectly! SO impressed!
