emma: day 4 \ shoeaday
leah and i spent the day shooting. leah, my cousin, is a “real” photographer. i play at photography and, if i’m lucky, leah will teach me tricks. i needed a flat shoe that wouldn’t bother me on a mile+ treck and that would complement a chartreuse shirt.
some would argue against the ballet flat for a long walk (you know, people that are into a little thing called “arch support”), but i wear them like a second skin. but then again, i’ve never been known for sensibility, and neither has leah. she has something called “flip flop heel.”
these flats are special because they came from the fashion mecca: gabriel brothers. they are composed of a saturated navy faux-velvet paired with a quilted insole. this is the kind of thing you pick up at gabes for $3.99 – which is precisely what i paid for these beauties after a 4 hour long shopping spree with my mom.
these are really just slippers masquerading as a day shoe. don’t tell anyone i told you that.
